Morph AppSpace provides an end-to-end managed service for web applications, changing the paradigm around hosting. Morph AppSpace combines technology, processes, and people together into an on-demand service for web applications. Developers deploy their application to the Morph AppSpace and it is live to the world in a matter of minutes. No longer do developers need to think in terms of servers or software stacks, they think in terms of application delivery.

By deploying applications to the Morph AppSpace, companies can eliminate the need for servers, web hosts, consultants/employees to do system administration tasks, such as setting up operating systems, architecting high availability or dealing with server level security. Each Morph AppSpace subscription is like having an external IT department that is solely focused on keeping the web platform up-to-date and running at optimal levels.

Load balancers, distributed application servers, integrated web delivery stacks, security, and managed backups are all part of a Morph AppSpace subscription, ensuring a secure, highly available, fault-tolerant environment for running web applications. Morph AppSpace runs on top of the Morph Application Platform, which brings together a collection of open source technologies and Morph intellectual property to provide the Morph AppSpace environment. The Morph Application Platform uses cloud computing technologies, including Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 to provide compute power and online storage as needed by Morph AppSpace subscriptions.

great for Rails and Java apps
I work with both Java and Rails applications and was getting tired of spending time installing, configuring, and debugging the various tools & servers. With Morph, all you need to do is write your application, package it, and deploy it using scripts that they provide. Things couldn't get much easier than that. Support is good as well. Any time I've had a question or request, a Morph employee has responded within a couple hours. The best part is that developer accounts are absolutely free to play around with the infrastructure and get all the bugs out prior to signing up for a paid account. Then once you do, the rates are very competitive to other services such as EngineYard, Joyent, and even raw EC2 instances.
