Bucket Explorer is A User Interface for Amazon S3 that has an easy to use UI, built on top of the robust JetS3t API.

Use Bucket Explorer as a simple FTP tool or a backup tool for Amazon S3 or you can use it to:

  1. Browse buckets and the files stored at Amazon S3.
  2. Upload and download files, to and from Amazon S3 buckets.
  3. Set Server Access Logging (Bucket Logging) for Audits.
  4. Synchronize data between multiple computers.
  5. Upload files in HTML format for Web Hosting (even when the extension is not .html or .htm).
  6. Create public URLs and signed URLs to share the files.
  7. Access shared buckets and files from someone else's account.
  8. Set Access Control on Buckets and Files for authorizing other Amazon users or non authenticated users with different access rights.
Bucket Explorer works on every OS where Java is supported. It uses Amazon's ETag and its own SHA-1 hash combination to make sure that a file is never transferred again to Amazon S3 if is it not changed, to save the bandwidth costs and time.

Comments

Strong browser. Some UI problems on Mac
I agree with prior post. Bucket Explorer is a workhorse for us, and we have 2 licenses. On the mac, sometimes there are bugs in the UI which prevent clicking some buttons. But aside from that, it's a solid product.

Best I've Seen
I am quite happy with Bucket Explorer on OS X, except that there are times where the interface does not let me perform certain actions or is just plain broken. Clean-up the UI, and you've got a wonderful S3 front-end.

Works with S3 EU
Since adding comments here is the quickest way to update this page, I just want to provide an update on Bucket Explorer. We have made several changes in Bucket Explorer in past two months based on customer feedback. The version which we released today will also work with Amazon S3 European Service. You can find the change history on bucket explorer's web site and you can download the latest version from here: http://www.bucketexplorer.com/be-download.html Saurabh (for Bucket Explorer).

Easy to use, great product
These guys have a GREAT! product here. I just wish they keep going forward with it and don't stop development as I have seen with many software products. I have been using S3Fox for a while and Bucket Explorer looks like a copy cat of S3Fox in many aspects.
