How to Support Your Nonprofit’s Goals with AWS Credits

The AWS Credit Program for Nonprofits offers $1,000 of AWS Promotional Credits annually to 501c3 organizations or global equivalents. With diverse missions to promote health and welfare, achieve medical breakthroughs, protect wildlife, and support many other causes, nonprofits around the world have unique needs. In collaboration with TechSoup Global, this program provides organizations in 50 countries with subsidized access to on-demand services to more easily store large files, keep data secure, and deliver engaging content to local communities.

For example, with the help of AWS Credits, World Elephant Day scaled their website to provide a better user experience and in turn received more donations for elephant conservation.

Steps to Get Started

Follow the steps below to continue on your cloud journey and put more money into your mission:

  1. Create an AWS account.
  2. Confirm your eligibility for the AWS Credit Program for Nonprofits on the eligibility and restrictions page.
  3. Request AWS Promotional Credits here.
  4. Apply the $1,000 worth of AWS Credits to your AWS account.

AWS will provide additional resources to help you get started. For further assistance with the use of these credits, partners like Digital Divide Data (DDD) are available for support. DDD helps IT teams optimize their AWS spend and get the most out of their AWS environment.

To power your organization with even more access to services, AWS recommends that potential grant recipients also sign up for the AWS Free Tier for 12 months of hands-on experience with certain AWS products.
