How do I change the email address that's associated with my AWS account?

I want to change the email address that's associated with the AWS account root user of my account.
To update the email address associated with an AWS account in the Billing and Cost Management console, see Editing your account name, root user password, and root user email address. You can use the same instructions to change the email address for a member account created through AWS Organizations.
When updating the email address, you can't use an email address that is already in use on another Amazon.com or AWS account.
Important: If your AWS account and Amazon.com retail account share the same login information, then updating the email address for one of the accounts changes information for the other account.
You can change the AWS account root user email address associated with an AWS account only when you sign in as that user. If you sign in to an account as an IAM user, and you want to change your user name, contact your account administrator and ask them to follow the instructions at Renaming an IAM user.
