Fieldlens is a cloud-hosted construction-project management tool built by WeWork. After 810 days of uptime, the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instance running the monolithic Fieldlens application failed, and the Fieldlens team realized it needed to make a big change in how it built and deployed environments. Using Docker containers and Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS), the company migrated its entire application to run as containerized microservices on AWS in just under eight weeks.

Today, Fieldlens hosts more than 80,000 users and 110,000 projects, all running on AWS with an integrated deployment pipeline, IAM security controls, integrated monitoring, and auto scaling.
