Minyoung Jeong, is a key engineer of Naver, and a well-known speaker in developer communities such as Pycon Korea. Previously he was CTO of The Beatpacking Company, and he was also a senior developer of Me2day, a Korean social network service acquired by Naver, the #1 Korean search service.
When he developed Beat mobile app which aims to bring K-pop to a global audience through streaming media, he utilized AWS Cloudfront, S3, and EC2 for free streaming service. In the company’s first seven months it grew to over one million subscribers.
He also played key roles in founding the AWS Korea User Group on Facebook in 2012, which hosts various seminars for developers from startup to enterprise, build on the AWS Cloud. It has increased to over 20K members on Facebook through community-based Q&A and discussions. Minyoung likes programming on Python, Ruby, and Scala,, and is interested in small open source projects for AWS management.
