How am I billed for AWS Support?

I want to sign up for a paid AWS Support plan, and I want to know how I'm charged for it.


All AWS accounts receive Basic support at no cost.

When you sign up for a paid AWS Support plan, your payment method is charged a prorated amount immediately for the remainder of the current month. Your support plan is activated when the prorated charge is billed to your payment method.

If you cancel your subscription for AWS Support within 30 days of sign-up, you still must pay the greater of the monthly minimum or a percent of your AWS charges for the period of time that you are enrolled. AWS reserves the right to refuse to provide AWS Support to any customer that frequently signs up for and then cancels AWS Support.
