Ben Cabanas, Head of Solutions Architecture for APAC, AWS

Ben Cabanas is the Head of Solutions Architecture for APAC, Amazon Web Services. Prior to joining AWS, he was responsible for leading GE’s software engineering teams to develop and deploy solutions that maximized productivity for all GE businesses. Ben has 20 years of professional IT experience as a developer, systems administrator, DBA, solutions architect, enterprise architect and CTO and recently led large-scale cloud transformation efforts in GE Oil & Gas, GE Transportation and GE Digital.

Shaun Ray

Shaun Ray, Senior Manager, Developer Relations, AWS

Shaun Ray has had a long career working at the leading edge of technology, and is fascinated by what happens next. In his role at AWS, Ray is focused on the needs of large enterprises across APAC as they make their journey towards the cloud. He is active in APJC fintech and regulatory communities and he leads the conversation with some of the largest and most complex organizations on innovation, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, as they deploy critical workloads onto the cloud.

Vasanth Kumar

Vasanth Kumar has more than 20 years of experience working with banking and financial organizations globally. He joined NTUC Link in July 2017 and has been responsible for building and managing their software engineering teams to deliver new age products and a technology led customer engagement platform. Prior to joining NTUC Link, he was working with Fastacash, a fintech startup in Singapore managing their engineering teams to deliver social payments for banks and remittance houses in APAC, Middle East and Europe. He has played key roles in the implementation of prestigious national payments systems in Singapore (FAST) and Malaysia (FPX). He has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and Engineering from the University of Madras.

Anton Shchekalov

Anton Shchekalov, Vice President, Engineering, Wavecell

Anton Shchekalov brings over 12 years of technical experience in the mobile payments and messaging industry. Prior to joining Wavecell, Anton was holding the CTO position at i-Free Group, major mobile payments and messaging provider in Russia and CIS region. He was one of the active contributors to the appearance of Premium SMS payments market in Russia since 2005. He has a strong background in server-side technologies, databases, agile methodologies, project and product management.

Ignatius Hardanto Subagyo

Ignatius Hardanto Subagyo, CTO, Kompas Gramedia

Pak Hardanto is one of the most instrumental figures behind the scene of Kompas Gramedia’s digital transformation. He built an editorial system for Harian Kompas by himself and engineered the long-distance printing system that allowed the newspaper to publish real-time at many different areas outside Greater Jakarta. He also initiated the birth of and the concept of MMM (Multimedia, Multichannel, and Multiplatform) that successfully integrates the group’s conventional medias with their digital platforms.

He complements his 23 years of expertise in tech with his passion for team building and community.
