AWS Device farm lets you improve the quality of your app by testing and interacting with real Android and iOS devices in the AWS Cloud. In this session, we will explain how to use Device Farm to run automated tests on 100s of real devices, and get logs, screenshots, and performance data in minutes. We will also show a demo of the Remote Access feature which lets you to interact with physical devices in real time through your web browser.

In this session, we will discuss how to measure and track users' actions in your app against key metrics and trends such as new vs. returning users, app revenue, user retention, and custom in-app behavior events. We will also show you how to leverage this data to bring them back to your app by sending automatic push notifications, SMS, and emails.

Parse recently announced that they are retiring their mobile development service, and their current customers will have until January 28, 2017 to move their apps to alternative services. To help you make the transition, AWS is working together with Parse to provide a migration path to AWS. AWS provides a range of services for building, testing, and monitoring mobile apps. In this session, we will introduce you to AWS mobile services, and take you through the steps required to migrate your mobile apps from Parse to AWS through the following use cases:

  • Parse Core to AWS
  • Parse Push to Amazon SNS

Learn how to build a powerful social messaging app that leverages a range of AWS services. In this demo-heavy workshop, we show how you can build an app using Apple Swift and the AWS Mobile Hub. This is a step-by-step journey where you configure and add components to your architecture, then modify and test your components. In the end, you will have a mobile app with a backend running on AWS.
