Rianne van Veldhuizen

Rianne van Veldhuizen, Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand, AWS

Rianne van Veldhuizen is the Managing Director of Commercial Sales for Amazon Web Services in Australia and New Zealand. Rianne is passionate about helping our customers grow and innovate quickly, using cloud solutions to meet their business and digital ambitions.

Rianne was previously the Head of SMB, Asia Pacific and Japan for AWS. Prior to her appointment at AWS Rianne held various leadership roles at IBM, both in Asia Pacific and Europe.

Rahul Pathak

Rahul Pathak, Vice President, Analytics, AWS

Rahul Pathak is Vice President for Analytics at AWS where he leads Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon OpenSearch Service. During his 10+ years at AWS, Rahul has focused on managed database and analytics services with prior roles leading Emerging Databases, Blockchain, RDS Commercial Databases, and more. Rahul has over twenty years of experience in technology and has co-founded two companies, one focused on digital media analytics and the other on IP-geolocation. He holds a degree in Computer Science from MIT and an Executive MBA from University of Washington.

Simon Elisha

Simon Elisha, Chief Technologist ANZO - WWPS, AWS

Simon Elisha, leader of AWS technology teams across 14 countries, is a technology visionary and translator of innovation into clear business benefit. He advocates being “stubborn on vision and flexible on detail”. Nine cloud technology patents underline his commitment to innovation.

Simon’s technical expertise is brought to bear in global conference speaking engagements and as AWS’s business and technology media spokesperson in APAC. The public sector has benefited significantly from Simon’s leadership and ability to understand the challenges and opportunities of his customers, while focusing on innovation and problem solving. Notably among these are the first ever Census survey of 25 million Australians run entirely and flawlessly in the public cloud, and a breakthrough COVID-19 testing notification application allowing NSW Health to reduce the wait time for negative test results from seven days to hours.

Shailesh Manga

Shailesh Manga, Chief Digital Officer, Vector

Shailesh Manga leads Vector’s digital team and is responsible for managing the company’s digital and IT functions. He is charged with harnessing the performance of both existing and emerging disruptive digital technologies to ensure Vector is able to provide reliable, relevant and innovative services, and compete in the modern customer driven energy marketplace. His experience is unique and vast, having worked both locally and globally in the fields of physics, telecommunications, user experience and innovation. In his last role, Shailesh worked with some of the world’s best known brands including Google, Microsoft, Samsung and LG, helping them deliver innovative experiences.

Marnie Baker

Marnie Baker, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank

Marnie has been with the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group since 1989 and an Executive of the Bank since 2000. She was appointed Managing Director in 2018. Marnie has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, specifically Retail Banking, Trustee and Custodial Services, Financial Planning, Insurance, Funds Management, Treasury, Risk and Compliance, Payment Systems, Information Technology, Change Management, Social Media and Digital Technologies, Legal and Human Resources.

Marnie is a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, Director of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited, Deputy Chair of Australian Banking Association, sits on the Business Council of Australia, La Trobe Bendigo Regional Advisory Board and Mastercard Asia Pacific Advisory Board. Marnie is also a member of Corporate Executive Women.

Vicki Miller

Vicki Miller, General Manager Customer Technology, Kmart Australia

Vicki Miller is an accomplished senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in technology,
digital, data, and team transformations.

In her current role as General Manager Customer Technology, Vicki is responsible for
technology across all of Kmart’s’ store, online, and digital channels.

Vicki’s background extends to experience in start-ups, digital businesses, and the creation of
new products and revenue streams. Vicki has designed and implemented technology
turnaround strategies for organisations such as Kmart and Australia Post amongst others.
She is known for her entrepreneurial approach and delivering to bold change agendas.

Kairui Guo

Kairui Guo, PhD in Biomedical Engineering, University of Technology Sydney

Kairui Guo received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Melbourne in 2014 and Master of Engineering degree from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) in 2016. Kairui completed his PhD at UTS in Biomedical Engineering. He is now working in the Stroke and Neurovascular Research Group at Ingham Institute for Applied Medical.

Kairui started to explore the opportunities to implement engineering disciplines in rehabilitation medicine in 2017. Over the years, Kairui brought this research idea into a wearable exoskeleton, AI EXO, which automatically accesses the neurological condition of the patients and provides personalised rehabilitation therapy. Kairui and the AI EXO team also create a telehealth platform using Amazon Web Services for home rehabilitation services.

Lisa Tobin

Lisa Tobin, Managing Director Technology, SEEK

Lisa Tobin is SEEK’s Managing Director for Technology. Working with a diverse global team, she leads the function that builds, adapts and supports SEEK’s core technology platforms to help jobseekers live more fulfilling and productive working lives and helps organisations succeed. Lisa is passionate about pairing the right people and skills with the right technology, and partnering across the market to implement strategic technology capabilities that ensure a business can scale, pivot and respond.

As a leader, Lisa is driven by seeing her team’s capability evolve, and working with curious, thoughtful and adventurous technology professionals who apply their skills to help the business compete and succeeds.

Eric Peck

Eric Peck, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Swoop Aero

Eric leads the overall business strategy and the relationships with Swoop Aero’s global partners. A former Air Force Pilot, Eric led missions in the Middle East as a qualified C130J Hercules Captain. After almost a decade as a pilot, Eric completed an MBA and joined Deloitte to help leading organisations solve their most complex problems.

David Crossman

David Crossman, Product Manager, AIMS Data Systems Engineering team, Australian Institute of Marine Science

David is a leader within the AIMS Data Systems Engineering development team. David and the team design and implement data driven systems to support and disseminate research data and information to government, industry partners and the wider public. With strong engineering discipline David is pragmatic in combining technical expertise with a quality network of peers to deliver useful software to enable change and value add.

David is currently the technical lead for ReefCloud a transformational digital tool that uses artificial intelligence to fast-track the recording of changes to reef communities to interpret, report and communicate on coral reef conditions.

Tiffany Bloomquist, Country Manager for Commercial Operations, New Zealand, AWS

Experienced international leader, focused on driving customer business outcomes, transformation, innovative strategy and leveraging partnerships to drive growth.

Tiffany is currently the country manager for AWS in New Zealand, leading our commercial sales across large enterprise, Software as a Service providers, small to medium businesses and start-ups. She coordinates our 150+ employees to deliver assistance across thousands of customers and partners as they leverage cloud-based operating models to transform their overall architecture with AWS services. Her teams work hand-in-hand with customers and AWS partners to provide deep expertise in the architecture, design, development and implementation of cloud computing initiatives that result in real business outcomes. Over the last 8 years AWS has been helping New Zealand organisations to innovate, succeed, and grow globally. Dean Samuels

Dean comes from an IT infrastructure background and has extensive experience in infrastructure virtualization and automation. He has been with AWS for the past five years and has had the opportunity to work with businesses of all sizes and industries. Dean is committed to helping customers design, implement, and optimize their application environments for the public cloud to allow them to become more innovative, agile, and secure.
