Whether you are new to the cloud or an experienced user, you will learn something new at the AWS Summit. This free event is designed to educate you about the AWS platform and help you develop the skills to design, deploy, and operate infrastructure and applications. Take advantage of the many opportunities to learn about AWS services and solutions in multiple formats, including breakout sessions, workshops, demos, and chalk talks. All sessions will be delivered by subject matter experts from AWS, our Partners, or our customers who will share case studies and lessons learned.
Training and Certification
Training and Certification
Bootcamps are full and half-day training sessions delivered by experienced AWS Instructors and Solutions Architects. They are an opportunity to dive deep into existing skills and learn new ways of working with AWS. These sessions are offered for a fee on July 10, the day before the summit.
Hands-on Labs help you evaluate and learn how to work with AWS solutions through step-by-step, self-paced instructions on an AWS Console in a live practice environment. Choose from 100+ lab topics that range in level from introductory to expert and take approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete. Registration is not required; walk-ups are welcome.
AWS Certification Lounge
Visit the AWS Certification Lounge in the Expo to network with other certified individuals. AWS Certified status will be checked at the entrance.
Attend one-hour breakout sessions led by AWS subject-matter experts and/or top AWS customers. You’ll find introductory sessions, deep dive technical content, and customer stories.
Learn in a team-oriented, hands-on environment. Solve problems and build solutions in these two hour-long workshops. They are capped at about 60 attendees to maximize networking and learning opportunities.
Chalk Talks are short presentations designed to stimulate conversation, followed by an interactive whiteboarding session. The goal is to foster a technical discussion around real world architecture challenges. It’s a great opportunity to ask an AWS expert your questions.
At the AWS Summit New York, you will get to know the AWS team and interact with AWS Partners - it's also a perfect opportunity to chat with peers and other tech enthusiasts about their challenges and learnings.
Join us at the AWS Summit New York where we will help you build and train a model at a workshop, or you can bring one you have trained at home. You can then put your model to the test and compete on the track in the AWS Summit Expo. Learn more here.
Build and train your model at one of the DeepRacer workshops:
Get behind the keyboard for an immersive experience with AWS DeepRacer. In this workshop, you get hands-on-experience with reinforcement learning. Developers with no prior machine learning (ML) experience learn new skills and apply their knowledge in a fun and exciting way. You join a pit crew where you build and train ML models that you can then take to the track for a chance to climb the AWS DeepRacer League leaderboard.
AWS Community Dev Lounge
Join us in the Dev Lounge for content “by the community, for the community.” Learn from and network with your peers, AWS Heroes, AWS User Groups, and other members of the AWS community. All content in the Dev lounge is community-led and the Ask the Experts Bar will be staffed by our user group leaders. This is an opportunity to dive deep with others using AWS just like you.
Visit Startup Central – it’s a place where startups can meet, hear tech talks by other startups, and get access to experts for 1:1 questions.
Startup Talks – hear firsthand from startup technologists on how AWS enables them to build and innovate.
Ask a Startup Expert – no appointment necessary. AWS Solutions Architects will be there to answer any foundational questions.
You can find AWS Startup Central in the Expo.
After a productive day of learning, be sure to join the reception being held in the Expo area, which follows the last sessions of the day. At the AWS Networking Reception, you can connect with leading cloud technology providers and consultants who can help you get the most out of the AWS Cloud, participate in a variety of activities, and get your questions answered by Amazon Web Services engineers and product leaders.
