The AWS DeepRacer League is the world’s first global autonomous racing league for developers. Build AWS DeepRacer machine learning models and compete in a global championship, racing for prizes, glory, and a chance to lift the Championship Cup.

Train a model: Whether you're new to machine learning or want to build on existing skills, train your AWS DeepRacer model to compete in the league. Login in to the console or start with the 90 minute e-learning course.

Take your model to the tracks and compete: 1. Enter the Virtual Circuit via the AWS DeepRacer Console, OR 2. at Summit Circuit events worldwide.

Win prizes: Top a Virtual Circuit or Summit Circuit leaderboard to win an expenses paid trip to compete in the AWS DeepRacer League Championship knockout rounds.

In head to head qualifying, racers complete laps while avoiding moving AWS bot cars on the track. At the end of the month, The top 32 qualifiers are placed in the elimination bracket where they will race head-to-head with other competitors.

In object avoidance races, participants navigate the track while avoiding a specified number of stationary objects on the road. The racer with the fastest time (including time penalties for resets and collisions) will advance for a chance to compete for the Championship Cup.

In time trial racing, racers must complete the specified number of laps while staying on the track. The racer with the fastest lap time (including time penalties for off track resets) will advance for a chance to compete for the Championship Cup.

At the end of the qualifying head to head race, the top 32 racers on the leaderboard are seeded into a single elimination bracket. Their fastest model is submitted for one-on-one matchups with other competitors until a single racer remains. The winner will advance for a chance to compete for the Championship Cup.

At the end of May, the top 10 qualifying developers in the Head-to-Head format faced off against Daniel Ricciardo and Tatiana Calderón in the first ever AWS DeepRacer League Grand Prix. The Grand Prix consisted of all 12 participants racing 10 laps simultaneously.
The first racer to complete the race qualified for the chance to compete in the AWS DeepRacer Championships and won the F1 ProAm Grand Prize: the chance to come and watch the world of Formula 1 in real life at an F1 Grand Prix. The Grand Prix finish order also determined final Head-to-Head standings for Virtual Circuit Prizing in May.

Trip to re:Invent 2020: A total of 98 racers in the 2020 season will be eligible to win an expenses paid trip to the AWS DeepRacer Championship Cup finals at re:Invent 2020 subject to terms and conditions. 74 racers who top the leaderboard in either time trial or head-to-head races throughout the Summit Circuit and 24 racers that finish first in time trial, object avoidance, or head-to-head from 8 months of racing in the Virtual Circuit. The re:Invent Prize includes: a ticket to re:Invent 2020, round trip coach class flights from the winner’s nearest international airport to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, 5 nights’ accommodation, 350 USD allowance for food and travel, and participation in the AWS DeepRacer League Knockout rounds starting Nov. 30th 2020.
Win an AWS DeepRacer: The top 5 entrants on the leaderboard in each of the Virtual and Summit Online Circuit qualifying races in each racing format will have the opportunity to receive prizes in the amount of $399.99 usd, distributed digitally in the preferred method of payment of the competition administrator and contest sponsor. Virtual Cricuit prizing is subject to eligibility and limitation of the participant's country of residence.
