Why am I getting the OptionsRequestDenied error when I upload a file using the Amazon S3 console?

When I upload a file to my Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) bucket using the Amazon S3 console, I get the error OptionsRequestDenied. Why am I getting this error?

OptionsRequestDenied is a client-side error that can occur when you access your S3 bucket using the Amazon S3 console. Check the following on the client that you're using:

  • Are there any ad blockers or similar extensions installed on the web browser that might be blocking traffic from Amazon S3?
  • Are there any proxies or firewalls on the client that might be blocking traffic from Amazon S3?
  • Is there an intermittent network connection problem that might be interrupting the connection to Amazon S3?

Tip: To isolate the issue to the client that you're using, try uploading files using an AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) command instead. For example, use aws s3 cp. If you receive errors when running AWS CLI commands, make sure that you’re using the most recent version of the AWS CLI.
