One thing that’s great about AWS is that it’s self-service: you can move as fast as you want within the environment itself. . . . You can get in really quickly, use whatever systems are necessary for your startup, and then just iterate and iterate and iterate. You can build everything up without needing permission to engage with a third-party vendor that might slow you down.”
Sarah Peña Head of Emerging Technology & Business Improvement, Swidon Borough Council
You hear a lot when you talk to technology, executives about efficiency, and cost saving and environment impact. All of that is amazing. But here, this is way beyond — this is keeping families together. This is avoiding people from falling into the criminal legal system, falling into homelessness and unemployment.”
Mohammed Al Rawi Chief Information Officer, Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office
We are very pleased that AWS is collaborating with Osaka City on the use of generative AI to improve citizen services and improve operational efficiency. AWS is committed to collaborating and supporting government agencies, local governments, and startups through technology to innovate, solve social issues, and accelerate the economy.”
Shio Usami AWS Japan Executive Officer, Public Sector General Manager
Our generative AI based writing assistant was trained on one billion words using Amazon SageMaker. It is trained so well that it has made writing fun, easy, and intuitive for kids.”
Rahul Ranjan Chief Business Officer, BriBooks
AWS is committed to helping customers of all sizes unlock the potential of generative AI to positively impact students, patients, and citizens worldwide.”
Dave Levy Vice President, AWS Worldwide Public Sector
Now, we have developed a solution in Amazon Bedrock to provide residents easier to read information (known as ‘Easy Read’), complimented with imagery for comprehension, to further transform digital services, while keeping costs minimized. Sharing work, particularly work that can be deployed quickly at low cost, means we can tangibly help each other. That’s something my team and Swindon are passionate about. It’s powerful, and it’s important.”
Sarah Peña Head of Emerging Technology & Business Improvement, Swidon Borough Council
In the Election program, we have produced 30,000 pieces of news content in 2 hours. This content is produced as RTVE produces: led by our journalists, with our language, with our values, with our ideas.”
Pere Vila Technology Strategy Director, RTVE
