Today’s music festivals are more dynamic and interactive than ever before. Fans are exposed to a multi-sensory world of jaw-dropping stages, LED lights, ear-thumping speakers, art installations, pyro, and more. Insomniac’s EDC Orlando festival is at the forefront of creating these unforgettable experiences. At times, the need to document every moment can feel overwhelming for a fan.The challenge – how do we free up a fan to truly enjoy the festival, without fear of missing a moment? The solution – leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power “My Festival Story.” A feature within the EDC Orlando festival app, “My Festival Story” memorializes the entire fan experience, generating photos, creating lists of artists and stages they visited, and producing custom festival playlists. All of which can be shared socially.

Fans can simply be fans once again.

With one of the largest festivals in the world approaching its 21st year, Headliner (fan) anticipation for EDC Las Vegas is at an all-time high. In order to keep up with increased site traffic, Insomniac’s EDC Las Vegas partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power the 2017 ticket on-sale experience.

What did that mean for fans? The website loaded faster, was more stable, and resulted in significantly more “uptime.”
