AWS Asia Pacific (Malaysia) Region is now open
This region will help customers across industries and segments including startups, enterprises, and public sector organizations to run a variety of applications on AWS.
The Malaysia Region will also enable customers with data residency preferences to store data securely in Malaysia, help customers to achieve even lower latency, and serve demand for cloud services across Asia.

Malaysian Prime Minister's congratulatory message to AWS
On the official announcement of The AWS Asia Pacific (Malaysia) Region, Mr. H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, has extended His congratulatory message to AWS citing that the AWS's investment is a culmination of a long term commitment of AWS in Malaysia. From the RM29.2 billion investment beside Datacenter infrastructure in Malaysia, it is also expected to provide more than 3,500 jobs which will be directly created in Malaysia. In addition as a part of this commitment AWS will assigned a cloud framework agreement with Malaysia Government to boost cloud adoption within Malaysia Public Sector.
