XpressEngine is open source Content Management System (CMS), often used as a Bulletin board system application, powered by PHP and MySQL. It has less features than most other modern systems but does include a module architecture and a skin system. Xpress Engine is an open-source junior level web development project based on LGPL. It was first released on Feb 28, 2008. As of January 2012, version 1.5.1.2 has been introduced yet still lacks features like backups, file upload, and English support.
