Product Overview

LEMP stack is a group of open source software to get web servers up and running. The acronym stands for Linux, nginx (pronounced Engine x), MySQL, and PHP.
NGINX over the last years has grown exponentially in the amount of sites using it for their web hosting needs. An actively developed Open Source application NGINX, is capable of working as a reverse proxy for IMAP, POP3, SMTP, HTTP and of course as a normal web server. A difference between NGINX and Apache is that NGINX makes use of a asynchronous even-driven approach when it comes to handling all requests. Where Apache will default to threaded or process oriented handling of the requests. Currently stats show NGINX is the 3rd most popular web server in the world, with Apache and IIS being ahead.
