FittedCloud EBS Optimizer is part of FittedCloud Dynamic Cloud Resource Optimization solutions that help customers to optimize AWS costs. EBS Optimizer constantly monitors capacity and performance of EBS volumes, and adjusts provisining on customers behalf so that provisioning always matches application utilization. For e.g. if you provision a 1TB EBS volume, and use only 100GB of it, you are still paying AWS for 1TB capacity. If you provision a provisioned IOPS (IO1) volume capable of 5,000 IOPS and only use 1000 IOPS, you are still paying for 5,000 IOPS.
