This is a minimal CentOS 7 image having the 8 GiB instance volume managed with LVM (Logical Volume Manager). It contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login. Cloud-init, as well as the CentOS security updates available at the release date are included. Root login is disabled and only the 'centos' user is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication.

This image is limited to t2, t3 and t3a nano instance types. If you need a different instance type, please choose another image from our popular image list below:
