nJAMS uses several AWS services (VPC, EC2, EBS, CloudWatch, AmazonMQ, RDS, Lambda, SNS) to provide the highest availability and best user experience. nJAMS production environments are spread over several availability zones to ensure fail-safe operation. In production environments, Elasticsearch is configured to support replication and zone awareness. ActiveMQ is provided in a failover setup via AmazonMQ. Core data is stored in a Multi-AZ Amazon RDS PostgreSQL instance. During setup it is possible to determine which components should be private or public deployed. The core components of the stack are monitored via CloudWatch, in the event of obvious misconduct an alarm is triggered and a notification is sent via SNS.
