This is a minimal install that has been hardened using the openscap security guide for CentOS7, which can be viewed here https://github.com/openscap/scap-security-guide. Additionally the US Government security banner has been added using the banner located at https://github.com/RedHatGov/classification-banner.

This AMI is best used for testing software that will eventually be placed into production where Department of Defense ( DOD) security requirements will be imposed. This AMI could also be used as a basis for creating a product that will be used in the Gov Cloud or to host software/products that require DoD level security.
