Product Overview

Built from the source code for the recently-released Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.10. This is the project's legacy branch supported until November 2020, meaning enhancements as well as bug fixes are included. Runs as a Hardware Virtualized Machine (HVM), 64bit, SELinux enabled, ec2-user with Selinux user context. GCC now supports retpolines, which aids in mitigating Spectre Variant 2 attacks, iptables-services can now read configuration files from /etc/sysctl.d, and BIND contains the new root KSK in preparation for the upcoming DNSSEC Root Zone Key-Signing-Key rollover. In no rush to go to RHEL/CentOS 7.X? No problem!!! This is TLC's first 6.X production ready 6.X HVM AMI. It provides an opportunity to test the changes, how they might impact your installation, and a fresh, secure and stable installation destination for your RHL/CentOS 6.X migrations. Most importantly, is has ALL of the latest kernel and library patches for a secure Linux installation! This is a repackaged open software product wherein additional charges apply for security related image updates and AMI hosting.
