The Ixia IxChariot and Hawkeye Server products run networking tests between software or hardware agents, called IxChariot Endpoints, deployed in various locations, and assess the network performance between those locations.
The tests range from simple throughput and loss verification to advanced flows mixing voice, video and application data.

This AMI will allow you to quickly deploy an IxChariot Endpoint into AWS. You can also download Endpoints from the Ixia website or from Google Play or App Store and install them on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS devices in your network. Using the IxChariot or Hawkeye Server products, you will be able to evaluate the network connection from your enterprise to AWS.

After deploying the IxChariot Endpoint into AWS, you will need to register it to the IxChariot or Hawkeye Server and configure the Security Group to open some TCP or UDP ports of your choice for the test traffic. These manual operations can be automated by using AWS CloudFormation. Refer to the AWS Deployment Guide for details.

The IxChariot Endpoints are available for free, while the IxChariot and Hawkeye Server products require a license from Ixia.
