Product Overview

Kognitio is a mature, reliable analytical SQL engine with very high performance which can handle the most demanding analytical SQL requirements. Kognitio's high speed in-memory query processing engine allows all available compute resources to be efficiently used for running SQL queries, allowing you to get the most out of the AWS resources you provision. Query Glue/S3 data directly without any preprocessing but load it into memory to accelerate query performance. Low latency, high performance query execution enables massive concurrency for simple BI queries on dashboards while also enabling train-of-thought analysis of huge amounts of data using very complex queries in real time.

Kognitio's query streaming and asymmetric query processing features allow it to handle a very wide variety of query complexities, workloads and concurrency levels, devoting appropriate amounts of compute resource to each job and adapting as concurrent workloads change. Users can apply all compute resource to a single large task, share resources between 1000s of simultaneously executing smaller tasks or can mix very different workloads on the same Kognitio server instance.

Kognitio supports a very broad set of ANSI standard SQL and is compatible with a wide range of SQL clients and BI tools. It also contains extensions to allow other programming languages like Python or R to be embedded directly within a query and executed in parallel to turbo-charge complex data science processes which do not normally work efficiently in SQL.
