Sunlight Infrastructure Manager (SIM) Dashboard
Linux/Unix
Product Overview
Sunlight NexVisor is a high performance hypervisor that provides near bare-metal performance for your most demanding workloads - such as machine learning, AI, Big Data, Analytics and transactional databases.
It's easy to install Sunlight in just a few steps:
- Install the Sunlight Infrastructure Manager from this page (see the 'AWS deployment guide' linked below for a short video walkthrough)
- Use the Sunlight Infrastructure Manger to spin up your Sunlight NexVisor cluster
Sunlight NexVisor runs on AWS .metal instances and removes the limitations of native EC2 instances - such as the 80k IOPS limit per instance - instead Sunlight instances can access over 1 Million IOPS each. This removes the need to over-provision compute just to get high IOPS.
Sunlight is a hyper converged stack, so includes fully integrated software defined storage and networking.
Sunlight software defined storage turns the physical NVMe drives on supported .metal instances into a super-fast redundant and resilient pool of storage - replacing the need for expensive provisioned IOPS (PIOPS).
Sunlight software defined networking contains extensive AWS support. Bandwidth from AWS elastic network NICs can be seamlessly aggregated into a single channel - making it easy to access the full bandwidth available. Direct assigned AWS IP addresses can be accessed from a VM. Encapsulation technology creates virtual private networks across a cluster on-demand with internal IP addressing schema.
This free AMI provides a Sunlight Dashboard - which is required to create Sunlight NexVisor clusters within AWS (using .metal instances). Note that Sunlight NexVisor instances created through the Sunlight Dashboard are chargeable.
