Product Overview

BitSave is able to reduce bitrate requirements for a given quality level by up to 20% versus that encoder. When coupled with open-source AVC, HEVC and AV1 encoders, BitSave allows for up to 40% bitrate reduction at no quality compromise for metrics like VMAF and SSIM in comparison to leading third-party AVC, HEVC and AV1 encoding services. Lower bitrates equate to smaller file sizes, lower storage, transmission and distribution costs, reduced energy consumption and more satisfied customers.
BitSave running on Amazon ECS enables you to take advantage of the technology's capabilities, as well as the flexibility and scalability of Amazon Web Services.

Simply plug BitSave as a component immediately prior to your video encoder in order to preprocess each of your video assets prior to encoding. Alternatively, use BitSave together with x264, x265 or svt-av1 (users can opt to install and use such encoders with a single command) and achieve up to 40% reduction in bitrate versus leading encoding solutions at no compromise in quality (VMAF and SSIM). Importantly, these savings are achieved for multiple resolutions, multiple encoding recipes and multiple bitrates after a single pass of your video assets from BitSave. Alternatively, use BitSave to run your encoder at a faster preset and allow for 200%-400% speedup for your video encoding infrastructure with no loss in perceptual quality.
