This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support and maintenance provided by ProComputers.

This is a minimal RedHat Enterprise Linux RHEL 7.8 image, mainly used as a common base system on top of which other appliances could be built and tested. It contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login. Based on the official RHEL 7.8 Binary DVD ISO image.

Root login is disabled and only 'ec2-user' is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication.

Built using RHEL7 'Minimal Install' group of packages and a single 10 GiB instance volume. Both root partition and the corresponding filesystem are automatically extended if selected volume is bigger than the default one.

This RedHat7 AMI is ENA enabled.

Integrated with Red Hat Update Infrastructure (RHUI) in all AWS regions. This gives users the possibility to install new RPM packages and get regular security updates without purchasing a separate RHEL subscription. For more information please see https://aws.amazon.com/partners/redhat/faqs/.
