This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support and maintenance provided by ProComputers.

This is the latest Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHEL 8 image that is automatically updated at launch with the up to the minute security patches making sure you are always running the most secure version available.

Mainly used as a common base system on top of which other appliances could be built and tested, this RedHat 8 AMI contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login.

Root login is disabled and only the 'ec2-user' is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication.

Built using RHEL8 'Minimal Install' group of packages and a single 10 GiB instance volume. Both root partition and the corresponding filesystem are automatically extended if selected volume is bigger than the default one.

This RedHat8 AMI is ENA enabled and cloud-init is included.
