Overview
The Cloud Connect Encryptor (CV1000) delivers strong encryption of data on the move and ensures the authenticity, integrity and privacy of data transmitted: to the cloud from on-premises and within a cloud providers environment
The CV1000 features seamless integration of Thales hardware and software encryption appliances, creating a single, trusted platform for maximum data security. It is also integrated with Thales Luna HSM and/or Thales CipherTrust Manager for enhanced strong key management.
Network independent encryption provides maximum security for all network types and topologies, without performance penalties.
Shared responsibility: The cloud shared responsibility model means while cloud providers are responsible for infrastructure security, customers remain responsible for their own data security. Customers are responsible for the security of data both in the cloud and as it travels to/from cloud(s).
Performance: With the CV1000, customers leverage the industry leading HSE (High-Speed Encryption) platform from Thales as a unified, cloud native solution to protect data as it moves across critical infrastructure, ensuring low latency, tunnel free encryption to the cloud.
Modern encryption for modern networks: Thales HSE solutions support all four NIST Quantum Resistant Public Key algorithms (finalists) in all products (plus other non-finalist algorithms). In response to the Quantum threat, Thales Network Encryption solutions have supported QKD for more than a decade.
Highlights
- Modern encryption for cloud environments, implemented as a native virtual machine
- Trusted, customer managed solution
- High performance, low overhead encryption

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
