Overview
The design of the solution is such that miniOrange is the primary RADIUS server, accepting user-provided username and password credentials through a RADIUS request, and subsequently verifies these credentials against the Active Directory (AD). Upon completing the initial authentication phase, the CPN client initiates multi-factor authentication, prompting users for additional verification, and then proceeds to either authorize or deny access based on the user's input.
Highlights
- Enhanced security: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for VPN Client adds an extra layer of security, reducing the chances of an attacker gaining access to the system.
- Increased productivity and flexibility: Employees may securely access the company resources using AWS VPN client from practically any device and location, without jeopardizing the company's network.
- Fraud Prevention: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional degree of protection by ensuring that everyone is who they say they are, preventing unwanted access to company resources through VPN connections.
