Overview

What is a PVP?

Our solution is a unique & proven process designed to help our clients build a digital solution to propel their business forward by;

• Solidifying & articulating the problems they are trying to solve • Working with digital product experts that can design an application for them that best solves the problem • Validating a product concept and design using worlds best practise techniques before committing to development • Helping to secure funding or sell in a concept using world best practise design tools to bring the product to life in a clickable prototype • Maximising the probability of developing a successful digital product that gains traction • Maximising the speed at which the product can be in market • Minimising the cost of development and ongoing support • Be “development” ready & get accurate pricing for build

What are the problem statements a Product Validation Sprint solves for?

• As a business owner or line manager - I have a digital product idea but I need help to prove that it will work in the market. • As a business owner or line manager - I have a digital product idea that I need to pitch, sell and bring to life, but I need to get people excited before we commit to development effort. • As a business owner or line manager - I have a digital product idea that I want built but I need someone to design it first so I can raise funding. • As a business or enterprise - We have core capability that we want to productise but we don’t have the Product, UX/UI and development capability to bring the concept to life.

We have evolved the user centred design ‘Four D’ (Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver) into our own proprietary process, the Product Validation Process (PVP).

Stage 1: Discover

Discovery follows a structured methodology we have developed that captures all relevant information, allowing us to construct a concise, executable path in the design and delivery of your digital solution. We also identify key areas of focus (AoF’s) we need to focus on moving forward.

Stage 2: Define

In this phase, we take all the information captured in Discovery and start to design a digital solution that solves the identified problems for each Area of Focus. This step is grounded in systematic refinements, conscious prioritisation calls, and a clear focus on balancing time, cost, and do-ability.

Stage 3: Design

In this phase, we invest emotionally, operationally, and strategically in designing a solution that is desirable for customers, viable for the investment appetite of the business, and feasible for technologists to realise. By testing and iterating with users through the use of clickable prototypes, we identify necessary changes and optimisations in the solution pre-build, rather than being fixed in post-build, where it is inevitably more expensive to make change.

Stage 4: Deliver

Here, the overarching goal is to produce a suite of well-documented requirements that support engineers to interpret, understand, and action the designs produced by the Product & Design teams. As always, it’s about maximising alignment, and hence this step is such a significant one in the PVP model. Once the documentation is complete, and the integrity of the product vision galvanised, a collective walk-through is typically completed with the project team. This serves both to applaud the strength of the baseline direction that everyone has contributed to, and to reaffirm awareness, alignment, and focus in readiness for hands-on software delivery to commence.
