Overview
Editing videos in the cloud has never been easier! OpenShot Cloud API is a REST-based framework, which allows videos to be created, edited, transcoded, animated, and much more! It can be quickly integrated into websites, mobile applications, desktop applications, and just about any programming language which supports HTTP requests.
OpenShot Cloud API is designed as a private cloud, which you manage yourself. Run a single EC2 instance (using the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud), or scale up to hundreds of servers. Each new instance you bring online becomes a new video render "worker", allowing smooth scaling without any complex architecture changes.
Audio transcriptions can be created for any file easily using our powerful AI, and captions can be added to any clips where you need text displayed on top of the video.

Incredible product
I've launched an app. I'm using the OpenShot API to stitch together user submitted videos, which has been working great so far. OpenShot customer support is also immensely helpful and very responsive. They've gone the extra mile when I've hit road blocks - my team and I greatly appreciate that kind of support.
Five stars. Excellent customer support. Excellent product.
Fantastic Product - 100% Recommended
Simply put, the OpenShot Cloud API is an incredible product and if you are looking to programmatically create complex videos then I implore you to give it a whirl.
Given the mammoth effort it would require for us to build out an internal equivalent the subscription is very well priced.
It's allowed me to create our product proof of concept and get in front of early customers in ultra quick time - something critical for our business.
Thank you to all involved so far with this product - I hope it has many years ahead as a successful business.
Great video editing API with an outstanding support
Openshot is a great API for creating and editing videos.
Its so easy to get started with. If you have a question at some point or any other problem with the API you can get great support from Openshot.
So glad I went with Openshot.
Awesome product + awesome support and documentation
I've used OpenShot desktop app quite a few times in the past years.
I started working on video project (soon to be lunched) and got very gladly surprised when I found out about OpenShot Cloud API.
First, I liked their powerful features, then the documentation. So after that, I decided to give it a try. It was a breezy to start developing using their AMI/API. But even with a good API and good documentation, sometimes we might need a helping hand, and every time I needed help, I got a fast and 100% effective response.
Besides all these good things about OpenShot Cloud API, it feels good to support OpenShot Project.
Keep up the excellent work!
Fast Prototype Environment
I'm currently working with my company on a proposal for a video editing tool for a potential client. With OpenShot, I was able to build a small proof of concept to demonstrate the basic functionality in just about a day of work. I found the documentation to be clear and the one time I had a question, I got an almost immediate response via email.
If this project goes forward, OpenShot seems like a perfect platform to build out our production application on.
