Overview

The VAST Implementation Specialist and project manager will deliver the following: • Manage the project deliverables. • Monitor key milestones. • Present status reports of the schedule and milestones to the End User. • Review all materials with the End User during the start and end of the project.

VAST will assign a project manager to for the duration of this project. Your VAST project manager and implementation engineer will initiate a planning discussion to prepare for the project, including review of the current design, and requirements for the successful implementation and deployment. The topics outlined below represent an example of what can be discussed during the planning session: • Facilitate the project kick-off meeting. • Review roles and responsibilities • Confirm primary customer point of contact. • Confirm engagement logistics. • Review resource requirements • Review customer readiness and engagement pre-requisites • Discuss desired timeline. • Schedule project status meetings. • Review and verification of current environment. • Review proposed backup infrastructure for appropriate memory, disk, and CPU sizing. • Validate hardware and operating system (O/S) compatibility. • Review installation prerequisites. • Determine appropriate implementation path and build project plan. • Document high level implementation plan which includes back out plan.

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER • Facilitate post upgrade review and walkthrough. • Help produce documentation relevant to the customer environment regarding which tasks were performed, any tasks outstanding and best practices.

PROJECT CLOSEOUT During this phase, your VAST project manager and implementation engineer will compile all relevant documentation noted below and facilitate the project conclusion review meeting. • Provide a list of tasks completed. • Provide a list of relevant best practices. • Facilitate the project close-out meeting
