    Hitachi Vegetation Manager

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
Hitachi Vegetation Manager (HVM), a comprehensive work management solution, optimizes vegetation management and improves grid reliability. Leveraging AI and advanced analytics, HVM predicts potential risks, optimizes work plans, and provides a single, reliable source of truth for vegetation and workforce data. Achieve your planned objectives within budget through our closed-loop work management system that allows you to efficiently execute your highest value work, significantly reducing risks to infrastructure and reliability, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and work plan requirements.

    Overview

Hitachi Vegetation Manager acts as a centralized intelligent planning and work management system for vegetation departments. The system helps vegetation management departments optimize work decisions while providing full visibility and reporting across all field activities. HVM offers the market a best in class set of work management capabilities, coupled with advanced AI to optimizes work plans against resource and budget constraints. The system closes the loop by providing a single source of truth for vegetation and work management data. Realizing a centralized visualization system is possible due to two closely connected subsystems, a web-based back-office application, Cut Planner, and a mobile work management application, Field Planner, built for BYOD scenarios across iOS, Android, or Windows phones or tablets, which connect field insights and work processes to back-office planning efforts:

Cut Planner (web-application); designed to visualize vegetation risks, control vegetation management program costs, and enable geospatial planning, monitoring, and reporting. It creates the optimal cut plan and helps organizations streamline vegetation program work management.

Field Planner (mobile phone or tablet application); designed to empower field teams with comprehensive tools for planning, execution, and data capture. Built with the ArcGIS SDK for Flutter at its core, ensuring high-performance geospatial capabilities, it enables non-technical users to display and capture planning information, identify and report field risks (including vegetation and asset risks), properly plan worksites for crews, and enhances customer notification, approval/signoff, and management processes. The application works fully offline in disconnected mode while enabling advanced geospatial analysis, data collection, GPS navigation, real-time monitoring, communication, and the creation of maintenance scopes for back-office planners.

Hitachi Vegetation Manager is directly integrated with Maxar's WorldView constellation and OroraTech's thermal satellite data. In addition to best-in-class satellite imagery and thermal insights, the system also ingests Tomor-row.io Weather Intelligence directly, along with various georeferenced media sets, such as LiDAR, videos, or pictures. With Hitachi Vegetation Manager, utilities easily manage all the data across their operations, visualizing risks, and more effectively manage threats for long-term resilience.

    Highlights

    • Flexible Deployment & Mobile Work Management: Offers both SaaS and On-Premise deployment with AWS, coupled with BYOD mobile work management via Flutter, ensuring seamless task execution across diverse devices (iOS, Android, Windows) and environments.
    • Data-Driven Geospatial Analytics: Integrates ArcGIS at the core of the system for robust GIS-based work management, enabling the processing of diverse imagery (Satellite, LiDAR, Drone) and leveraging weather intelligence from Tomorrow.io for enhanced vegetation analysis that informs work orders and field operations.
    • Real-Time and Closed-Loop System: Facilitates real-time communication and collaboration between office and field teams, supports offline work order management with data synchronization, and provides GPS-enabled location tracking and access controls for efficient and secure work management.
