Overview
Hitachi Vegetation Manager acts as a centralized intelligent planning and work management system for vegetation departments. The system helps vegetation management departments optimize work decisions while providing full visibility and reporting across all field activities. HVM offers the market a best in class set of work management capabilities, coupled with advanced AI to optimizes work plans against resource and budget constraints. The system closes the loop by providing a single source of truth for vegetation and work management data. Realizing a centralized visualization system is possible due to two closely connected subsystems, a web-based back-office application, Cut Planner, and a mobile work management application, Field Planner, built for BYOD scenarios across iOS, Android, or Windows phones or tablets, which connect field insights and work processes to back-office planning efforts:
Cut Planner (web-application); designed to visualize vegetation risks, control vegetation management program costs, and enable geospatial planning, monitoring, and reporting. It creates the optimal cut plan and helps organizations streamline vegetation program work management.
Field Planner (mobile phone or tablet application); designed to empower field teams with comprehensive tools for planning, execution, and data capture. Built with the ArcGIS SDK for Flutter at its core, ensuring high-performance geospatial capabilities, it enables non-technical users to display and capture planning information, identify and report field risks (including vegetation and asset risks), properly plan worksites for crews, and enhances customer notification, approval/signoff, and management processes. The application works fully offline in disconnected mode while enabling advanced geospatial analysis, data collection, GPS navigation, real-time monitoring, communication, and the creation of maintenance scopes for back-office planners.
Hitachi Vegetation Manager is directly integrated with Maxar's WorldView constellation and OroraTech's thermal satellite data. In addition to best-in-class satellite imagery and thermal insights, the system also ingests Tomor-row.io Weather Intelligence directly, along with various georeferenced media sets, such as LiDAR, videos, or pictures. With Hitachi Vegetation Manager, utilities easily manage all the data across their operations, visualizing risks, and more effectively manage threats for long-term resilience.
