Overview
Nimesa is a cloud-native Backup and DR automation solution built for the AWS environment. We simplify your database protection in AWS with policies that natively integrate AWS snapshots with databases. We enable quick, efficient, and reliable backups of enterprise-scale applications, databases, and filesystems using snapshots with point-in-time recovery and granular recovery.
We go beyond just bringing application consistency as part of the backup workflow - we intelligently catalog databases as well during backup. This unique feature empowers you to restore and clone databases or even specific files in minutes, avoiding long downtime.
As a result, you can minimize data loss with frequent backups (RPO) and reduce downtime with faster restores (RTO) for your business-critical applications with our patent-pending Application Data Mesh (ADM). This can dramatically transform various data center operations and bring significant opex savings for use cases such as backup/recovery, test & dev, analytics, application rollouts, resource optimization, DR automation, and more.
It provides well-defined policy-based backups, instant restore, and cloning of your EC2 and database instances from the primary region/account or DR region/account. It enables admins to create consistent, space-efficient, and point-in-time copies of EBS volumes and EC2/RDS instances which can be used as part of a backup and disaster
