Overview
Outdated systems and legacy applications are unable to fully leverage modern customer-centric technologies. To stay competitive, organizations need to modernize their applications for greater scale, agility, and performance while reducing costs. The MVA is an evaluation of existing Microsoft applications to identify the ones that can be moved to cloud-native services or open-source technology on AWS. This assessment helps determine the feasibility and benefits of modernizing these applications, enabling the organization to make informed decisions about its technology investments and modernization strategy.
Activities • Identify pain points with current Microsoft workloads and define the business objectives for modernization • Identify and assess .NET applications, SQL Servers databases, and other Windows workloads to modernize • Select one ‘Priority’ Application and/or Database for deeper analysis and for a post-MVA Modernization Project
Outcomes: MVA report identifying what can be modernized and a proposal/SOW for a Modernization Project for the selected ‘Priority’ Application and/or Database
