Connecting to the VM:
To connect to your instance, you will need to use SSH over port 22. The default username for connecting is admin. For further information about the standard AWS method of connecting to an instance, see information described here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/AccessingInstances.html
Accessing PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL is installed on this instance. To interact with PostgreSQL and manage your database effectively, you can utilize its powerful command-line tools. For instance, to check the version of PostgreSQL you're running, simply open your terminal and enter psql --version; this command quickly displays the current version, ensuring you're up-to-date with the latest features and security updates. When you're ready to start a new database, use the command createdb , replacing with your desired name for the database, to effortlessly create a new database instance, laying the foundation for your data storage and management tasks.
