Cloud security is a shared responsibility, and infrastructure comes with a suite of security measures for applications and platforms. However, default settings can be overlooked, misconfigured, or weak and threaten cloud infrastructure, whether IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.

The Claranet Cloud Security Assessment is a consultant-led approach to reviewing your overall Cloud environment that can help you improve your cloud security posture.

Claranet will technically scope your engagement, carefully mapping the target to ensure the agreed attack surface is covered during the engagement and comprehensive results within a critical timescale. An experienced security consultant adopts a combination of manual and scripted checks, including penetration testing, to uncover vulnerabilities arising from misconfigurations, security policies and insecure configurations. The Claranet Cloud Security Assessment deliverable is a report that includes an executive summary of the most significant vulnerabilities, an analysis based on assessment categories, a vulnerability matrix with remediation recommendations, and supporting evidence.

A Claranet Cloud Security Assessment consists of a white box configuration review of your account against security best practices and common misconfigurations. An account configuration review will test the account’s configuration and is an adjunct to traditional penetration and web application testing. Your account will be reviewed against industry guidelines and best practices, including specific benchmarks, and aims to improve the overall security posture of your account and Cloud managed services. A Cloud Security Assessment is delivered between 09:00 to 17:30 hours, Monday to Friday. This document will take you through a description of the service.

Claranet Cyber Security provides support around all aspects of security testing it provides throughout the process - in the form of pre-test scoping assistance (helping the organisation to select appropriate attack perspectives), guidance regarding suitable levels of access for the attack simulations as well as training and advice following completion of the tests and how to interpret and benchmark the results.

Support is priced based upon the technical resource it requires and is calculated based upon the day rate for penetration testing.

All engagements are assigned a technical resource (in this case a senior penetration tester) and an account manager (for project management, commercial negotiations and resource scheduling).
