Product Overview

Unison takes an application focused approach to identity management by providing the features needed for applications to use identity without binding the application to a particular API or infrastructure. This lightweight approach to application integration makes Unison ideal for AWS deployments. Your identity management system should be able to move as easily as your applications do.

Creating an independent identity layer that sits between your users and your application provides SSO, authentication, just-in-time provisioning and authorization functions. This layer is referred to as a "Reverse Proxy". Using a layered approach to security has been a common recommendation for security. Unison's approach adds the benefit of decoupling your application from a particular API. This makes it much easier to develop an application on a local system where there may not be an identity management system and then add Unison as a layer on top of it during testing and QA.
Unison combines the identity tools needed by applications into a single virtual appliance without binding each application to a particular API or infrastructure. This innovative solution to application integration makes Unison ideal for AWS deployments.
