Product Overview

Verizon Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) is a zero-trust approach to networking for remote access, internal networks, and cloud-applications. The high-performance solution can defeat network-based attacks from unauthorized users and devices.

Architecture
Verizon SDP consists of three main components: (1) Controllers (2) Gateways and (3) Clients. Together, they help defeat unauthorized users and devices attempting to access protected applications. The protected applications include: software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications; those hosted in infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) or in hosting centers; applications on the DMZ; and, applications in the data center.

Deployment
The image provided in AWS Marketplace allows you to quickly deploy a Verizon SDP gateway for secure access into your AWS environment. The gateway should be configured to allow network access from it to the applications that you want to protect.

We recommend deploying the gateways into your environment in pairs for redundancy. After you have completed deploying the gateway(s) into your environment open a ticket with Verizon SDP support to enable the service.
