What a relief........

Using the One-Click Cloud Hosting with Bitnami has been the only bright spot in my venture into AWS. It did handle the nasty business of having to set up a server and install all the basic features I needed.

Being on the Free Tier AWS I needed to be able to scale back the storage since what I needed the entire system for was to have a place to install a very small low useage application that was a very small part of a system I am developing. I was not able to scale this one down lower than 10G which was way more than I needed, so I took one point off for that. 5G would have been more than sufficient.

I took off another point for documentation that has become the hallmark of Open Source. Disjointed, difficult to follow, steps missed, notes that should be at the top not two paragraphs after the instruction to click submit, poor syntax and sentence structure. Even for someone with 25 years experience evaling software cold and usually with no documentation, it was frustrating and less than productive.

If you can afford to dedicate 10G for storage whether you need it or not and you don't need much if any documentation to get started/use the functionality this provides, then this is definitely a 5 star AMI. If I could find better documentation or had minimal but personal support to get it useable for me then I'd have another go at it.
