This review will only be of use to novices.

As someone with only basic coding skills, I'd hoped that LAMPStack would be as simple to use as advertised, but after three attempts, I still can't use it. There are user interfaces of sorts but I was hoping for something like AWS S3, where you can literally see which files are uploaded, for example I need mine for .php files. I need to see what's installed and be able to upload and delete as needed. So I discover that this is done visually blind using the command line or ssh. That's fine but no good for beginners. The huge majority of commands I've tried don't work for me (osx 10.7, whether as root or not)) and none of the recommended ssh/ftp programs seem to want to connect.

I do however appreciate LAMPStack is widely used and not an issue for users with more experience. For beginners, it's not the ready made simple to use box of magic that I expected unfortunately. I have Bitmani Wordpress up and running fine (not via lamp, the full Wordpress install) and this is simply down to the easy to use Wordpresses user interface, I can't however find a way to reach, upload or delete the files, such as php files, for the same reason as LAMPStack.
