OK for single WP site........Not so good for virtual hosts!

Works good for a single Wordpress Site. For multiple sites using virtual hosts, I was not able to figure it out as Bitnami moves files all over the place from a standard Ubuntu install. I ended up using a simple AMI for linux and was up and running in no time.

Hi,

This was perfect for me. I'm somewhat tech savvy and have installed an EC2 Instance from scratch which took me over 3 hours.

This takes seconds to install a brand new Instance with Word Press installed.

For a basic ready to go Word Press Instance and in this case a Multisite version, I recommend Bitnami.

Installation Review

I started this bitnami machine in hopes of configuring a Pressbooks instance on which to write a book I have in the works. Within a few seconds it was up and running and within the hour I had installed pressbooks So, in terms of installation and configuration this was a fair time saver for me.
Be sure to click on the installations (and visit the bitnami if you go past it) for default instance password, username as well as default wordpress password and username.
