OpenERP powered by Bitnami (PV)
Bitnami by VMware | 7.0-25-r28 on Ubuntu 14.04.3Linux/Unix, Ubuntu 14.04.3 - 64-bit Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
Interesting, but complex and slow
I tested OpenERP v7 on AWS free tier and on much faster instances. It was unusably slow on a free instance, and painfully slow on faster ones. OpenERP might be a good solution for a company that can afford to run it on fast hardware, or have OpenERP host it, or to pay a consultant to customize it and keep it going, up to date, etc. on a local machine.

Free tier micro instance isn't powerful enough
Free tier micro instance isn't powerful enough to run this + version 8 is now out and offers significant improvements to this one.
Works just fine
I have installed OpenERP v7 on a Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS in the smallest Amazon Elastic Server and I saw no difference with my HP Proliant LAN server. It works fine and it is easy to setup and maintain.
Awesome for beginner
I'm new to OpenERP, use this VM save a lot of time! Recommend for people who want to validate OpenERP on EC2
Some bugs but awesome one click installation
Please update it to fix minor bugs, I couldnt work with multicomany, anyway thanks. (Version 8 is now ready)
Simple way to use openERP from Bitnami
Work like a charm to me. 5 minutes install and ready to use ERP for my small business. already 5 days since installed, configured and it seems everything look OK.
Thanks Bitnami for make my life easier. Love it!
not overly impressed
There seems to be significant bugs - not sure if it's in the OpenERP stack or BitNami implementation - or how deep it goes.
I've had relatively good experiences with BitNami overall, but I'm not entirely convinced it's ready for prime-time production deployment.
Start and forget
Another great VM from Bitnami! Just launch it and start using OpenERP without all the troubles of installing and config Apache, Python, PostgreSQL...
It just DOESN'T work
I installed and reinstalled this product at least 5 times following BitNami instructions. It never worked. The only thing I get is 404 page. What was supposed to be a straightforward 1-click exercise turned out to be several hours of frustration.
Look for other ways to install OpenERP on AWS.
Way too slow
I dont know about others , I found it to be too slow to operate day today operations.
