Has not been updated to accommodate new instance tier
It's not clear to me why this AMI shouldn't be able to run on the M3 tier; as such, the restriction forces me to keep running M1 instances instead of consolidating.

At least good for a quick test
I needed a mongodb instance for a quick test and this worked perfectly. Simply started it and pointed my application at it. It just worked. Haven't used it for anything else yet.
Good, but expensive
For a simple dev box, you could go with lower performance and not need this image. The image itself, of course, is free, but it is based on some high performance hardware which will cost you.
For real world deployments which need this performance, the machine works perfectly. Setup is a no brainer.
