This AMI is not available in certain instance types, i.e. M4 or T2
It is also not possible to create an instance HVM type of M4 or T2 from an AMI created from one of the offered instance types even though these two instance types are listed in the HVM instance type matrix. Probably a reasonable explanation for why this is, but I feel this information should be included in the Product Details, Usage Instructions or elsewhere ( even though those two instance types are not offered instance types ).

Why is this not available to g2.* in Frankfurt ?
That would be very helpful. Ubuntu LTS is nice, but I need the latencies of Frankfurt (and not Ireland etc.)
Seems to work better than the "Quick Start"
I think this tends to work a little better than the Amazon Quick Start Ubuntu AMI, I'm not sure why.
