Awesome and easy
Great image to use to learning or playing with LDAP. I knew nothing when I started and now I'm explaining it to others.
Easy to setup, easy to connect to. Be sure to use a helpful graphical LDAP client like JExplorer.
My only wish is that the instructions for connecting via SSH would be much easier. I never found out how and stopped trying.

There was no problem during the install process or setup. Once the initial information was entered, it was good to go. I did try to work with application; I even brushed-up on OpenLDAP. However, originally hosted on Sourceforge which gives indication of this application's history and where it's going, I had my doubts.
In short, the wiki was full of in-depth information, but then so is OpenLDAP.org; the wiki is up-dated sort-of. Now the problem occurs with (i) random internal PHP errors which occurs from trying to push and pull and refreshing the template works to readjust the format, but (ii) the import function fails. This was the killer and for the application's future. There's no use of a database that cannot import and in this case, thinking to grind-in hundreds or thousands of field data is insane!
