Per the usage instructions, give it a full 5 minutes to boot up, even on the default selection of an m3.medium instance - and then reboot for the admin password to appear in the system logs. I was not able to get it to work with a t2.micro instance.
We are excited to move our HubZero instance into the cloud. We installed our own copy a year ago which was challenging, but then the server got hacked. Rather than rebuild it from scratch, we can 1-click launch an instance in AWS and have a configured, working instance in less than 10 minutes.
We mainly will be using it to share data, so we appreciate the ability to infinitely scale up storage as the amount of data that researchers need to share grows.
