502 bad gateway

  • July 27, 2017

I decided to ignore the other 1 star review as it was over a year ago that it was left. I thought surely there wouldn't still be issues.

As soon as it finished installing all the page showed was '502 bad gateway'. I have no idea how to fix it, I had a quick look but there are so many potential reasons for it happening that I gave up.

I do not like to leave bad reviews but I thought I would save others some time by letting them know.

Did you test it? Error: Bytecode loader failed.

Wanted to rate this zero stars, but it wouldn't let me! So, try bringing up an instance and I get the following error message: Error: Bytecode loader failed. See troubleshooting for details: http://installatron.com/troubleshooting I go to your troubleshooting instructions - oh, you could have taken me directly to the item, would that have been too hard - and find the following: ---- Error: All loaders have failed Error: PHP is not installed CAUSE By default Installatron uses a system PHP instance. In the vast majority of cases this works flawlessly. However, in rare cases this instance may not be compatible with Installatron. When this occurs, compiling a dedicated PHP instance just for Installatron is the most reliable solution. SOLUTION Try installing a dedicated PHP instance just for Installatron. The PHP instance used by website owners will not be modified. mkdir -p /usr/local/installatron cd /usr/local/installatron curl -O http://php.net/distributions/php-5.5.37.tar.gz tar xzf php-5.5.37.tar.gz cd php-5.5.37 ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/installatron/php --disable-libxml --disable-dom --disable-simplexml --disable-xml --disable-xmlreader --disable-xmlwriter --enable-posix --enable-mbstring --enable-ftp --enable-sockets --without-pear --without-iconv --with-zlib --with-gd --with-jpeg-dir --with-png-dir --with-mysql=mysqlnd --with-mysqli=mysqlnd --with-pdo-mysql=mysqlnd --with-gettext make make install d .. rm -fr php-5.5.37 php-5.5.37.tar.gz /usr/local/installatron/bin/php Next, follow the steps at the top of this page to execute a repair of Installatron. That's it! Installatron should now be working. ---- If I wanted to install things myself, I would have built an instance from the ground up. If you are going to sell a service, make sure it works. How hard would it have been for you to actually launch this instance and confirm that it was up and running.
